The Stockyards

The Stockyards has daily cattle drives, is home to Billy Bob's and many great bars and restaurants.

Cattle Drive - Usually daily at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. More information is available here: www.fortworthstockyards.org/things-to-do

EAT/DRINK:

Joe T Garcia's - Mexican restaurant with beautiful patio gardens. They don't take reservations, and there is almost always a line to get in, but it is a good spot for large groups trying to dine together

Second Rodeo Brewing - Fun casual place to enjoy live music

The Drover - Hotel with delicious cocktails and comfy patio seating for groups

Provender Hall - One of our favorite restaurants for a dinner date

Filthy McNasty's Saloon - Dive bar with live music

White Elephant Saloon - Has live music and is a staple of the historic stockyards 



Downtown - Sundance Square

The reception venue and hotels listed are located downtown. Sundance Square is near many of the hotels and is surrounded by shopping and restaurants.

Salsa Limon - Casual local Tex-Mex favorite, excellent breakfast tacos

Thompson's Bookstore- Cocktail bar, speakeasy, cigar lounge

Flying Saucer - Large outdoor patio, good for big groups

Melt Ice Creams - Local ice cream shop

Scat Jazz Lounge - Live music at night

Reata - Texas Steakhouse

SOUTHSIDE

There are many great breweries and restaurants in this area.

Hot Box Biscuit Club - Casual spot to grab breakfast or lunch

Hopfusion - Brewery with games

Wishbone and Flynt - One of our go-to date night spots. Speakeasy in the back called The Amber Room

Panther City BBQ - A popular place to grab some Texas BBQ

The Bearded Lady - Large outdoor patio, great for larger groups, casual spot to grab a meal or drinks

Winton and Waits - Cute local boutique if you are up for some shopping

Cultural District - Arlington Heights

There are many museums to visit in this area as well as Dickie's Arena that hosts concerts and the rodeo!

Arts Goggle Festival

One of our favorite art festivals is happening Saturday, October 21st. Magnolia Ave will begin being shut down to car access Friday, October 20th in preparation. Please keep this in mind if making plans or staying in this area. The art festival has live music, lots of local food, and art vendors lining the street. Admission is free.

Woodshed Smoke House - Large patio with live music on the Trinity Trails

Press Cafe - Another great patio located off the Trinity Trails, there is usually a farmers market on the weekend

There are bicycle rental stations at both of these locations. The trails lead through Fort Worth along the Trinity River. These two restaurants are biking distance apart.
